One thing we love here at Babymule is when someone gets in touch with us and shares how Babymule fits into their lifestyle. We think Babymule is the perfect bag for growing families whether it is used for a picnic in the park or travelling around the world. This month Tinuke from Circus Mums shares her thoughts on Babymule and her adventures with us.
Tell us a little about you and your family/blog.
I’m a thirty something year old mum of two girls, aged 9 years and 9 months, we call them Princess and Baby Bob online. There’s a generous gap between them but they’re thick as thieves. I started blogging about being a mum when my eldest was a toddler. So much has changed over the years but I still love the community and friendships blogging has brought us!
Which Babymule do you have and what do you love about it?
We have a classic babymule in teal. It’s beautiful and compliments our travel system perfectly, it was obviously made to be. We’ve been using the bag since Baby Bob was a newborn and I can see it becoming a ‘family bag’ when she no longer needs a nappy bag. It’s large enough to fit our reusable cloth nappies, a bottle, loads of spare clothes and also my camera and other mumma bits. There are so many ways to carry the bag too, which I absolutely love! I’ve been wearing it as a rucksack a lot lately, but loev that I can clip it onto our pram, or wear it around our shoulders too.
Where was the last place you visited and what was your favourite thing about it?
The last place we visited was London. I’m a Londoner but we’ve moved out into the countryside. Going into London is now a special trip, with the kids. I love Covent Garden, we spend far too long in the Apple Store, Disney Store, MAC and Shake Shack. I love the amount of free entertainment available and how easy it is to get to!
Why do you think Babymule makes a good travelling companion?
Our Babymule is great for travelling because it has so many storage sections. I can store keys, my purse, etc separately from baby bits as there are great smaller sections. Being able to wear it in a multitude of ways also makes it a brilliant bag to travel with. Did I mention there’s always room for DSLR?!
Are you planning your next BabymuleAdventure? Where are you planning to go and why?
We’re thinking about a trip to Nigeria later in the year. I would like to see the country my Dad is from and explore it with my family. I think it’s super important to know your history and to see first hand where you’re from. Yes, my Babymule bag will most certainly be joining us!
Finally – Have you got a top travelling with kids tips we need to know about!
Be prepared but be completely flexible because children don’t appreciate your plans! Don’t get hung up if they won’t eat the snacks you lovingly prepared or can’t hold out for the pre-scheduled toilet stop! Go with the flow and smile!
